Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice or discipline which originated in India. It helps in developing physical stamina and concentration. In this book, several Yogasanas are included which are essential for healthy living.
The book is divided into three units.
Unit 1 introduces Yoga and Yogasanas. Besides differences between physical exercises and Yogasanas, the unit tells about Pranayama and eight parts of Patanjali yoga.
Unit 2 discusses Surya Namaskar and some other asanas (according to NCERT curriculum). It also explains how to perform the asanas and meditation.
Unit 3 provides NCERT question-answer and work sheets for students. Objective type questions and figure based questions are also included in the book.
