Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 1977-1978.
Forty-year old ex-con Frank Reeve befriends fifteen-year
old Mike Montages, after he defends Mike's father from
three gangsters.
Mike and his best pal, Richard, are routinely terrorized
by a vicious bully named Joe Mantz.
Before his incarceration, Frank was a heavyweight contender.
Mike asks him to teach him boxing.
