The first poetry book from R.E. Leonard, "You KNow Who You AR.E." is the first volume in the Wolftelligence series. It is a collection of poems about overcoming Mental Health issues to find Unconditional Self-Love. I originally started writing this book to try and teach my Self Emotional Intelligence (Wolftelligence). I had gone through various Mental Health issues & realized I knew nothing about my Self or emotions. There is a large stigma surrounding Mental Health issues; I hope to help take down this Wall of Stigma by showing people even our lowest moments & failures can lead to beauty & Self-Love.This book consists of 81 poems; it loosely chronicles my Journey of overcoming depression & anxiety to find Unconditional Self-Love. One symbol I use throughout the book to talk about depression is the feeling of falling down an endless Abyss. In these poems, I Am talking from my experience, trying to use symbols & imagery that fit best to tell a complete story. This Journey does not happen overnight; through Patience & Consistency, I started to overcome many emotional obstacles. Through facing my fears of expressing my Self & feeling emotions fully, I opened up a new world I never knew existed. This world is hidden deep inside all of us; it is hidden under piles of emotional baggage. It is hidden under years of memories.
