Ellie Green has been my best friend since we were in high school, and I was dating her best friend. A lot has changed since then, including my feelings for Ellie.
One night in college had me seeing Ellie in a different light, but the timing never worked out. Until this summer when she lost her job and moved back to our hometown.
That's when I finally made my move to escape the dreaded friend zone.
As usual, my timing still sucks. Now that I have my chance to woo her, Ellie may not stick around to see where things lead between us.
