One reason I love Buddha is because he knew that animals had sentience, consciousness, and that consciousness was as valuable, respectable, sacred as any Homosapien. Most people love their pets and treat them very well because they feel the same as Buddha. We, Homosapiens, do not have power over the earth, the animals, birds of the earth, nor the insects and trees because we are part of it, nor over it. This book celebrates Buddha's revelation and challenges everyone to feel the same as him.
