In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Alistaire MacDonald received notice of his termination from a stockbroking firm in Perth, Western Australia. The loss of his well-paying job leaves him angry, forcing him to sell his luxury car and move from his upscale seaside apartment. Obsessed with his former boss, Duncan Campbell, Alistaire learns about the Glencoe massacre from a friend and becomes fixated on seeking revenge against the Campbell clan for their ancestors' actions in 1692. Armed with various weapons, he begins a killing spree against anyone with the surname Campbell, earning the nickname 'Glencoe Killer' from a local journalist. As he carries out his violent acts, Alistaire believes he will be regarded as a historical figure like Rob Roy MacGregor or William Wallace. Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Jack Carter and his team from the CIB Major Crime Squad are tasked with capturing him, but an unexpected twist leads to a surprising outcome.
