A "revised" edition of COMMON SENSE, the masterpiece published in 1776 by Thomas Paine that sparked the movement that led to the Declaration of Independence. This anonymous author hath taken Mr. Paine's exact words from COMMON SENSE, substituted certain pronouns (e.g., president for king, D.C. for Britain, humankind for mankind) and contemporized it (if I may invent a word). The result is a message even more apropos 244 years from when they were written. That the states must be INDEPENDENT, this time not against a king but against a federal government that has grown too large. Via a Constitutional Amendment, this author calls for an Evolution of our Constitution.

The book contains the revised edition, the original edition, and a comparision of the two. There is also the full text of LIBERTY, a poem written by Paine.
