Love, marriage, and French kissing: all of it is connected in a story of an Indian who grows into manhood and moves to America, and one that tells of how complicated it is for a middle-class Indian young man to kiss and get married outside of traditional boundaries. We in India have been exposed to ideas of love and passion that, paradoxically have come to us from the West thanks to movies, television, popular music, and books, and yet our society gives us a hard time doing it this way.

This is a story of a man who struggled against the boundaries, then crossed the boundaries, and liberated himself from the rules: or so he thinks.
