High school administrator, Sparrow Walker, has just moved to Sweet Home and into a rental house closer to the campus. The Hearth family eagerly welcomes her to town, but the eldest son—workaholic and heart-shy Gabriel Hearth—isn't too pleased about having his son's pushy principal living next door. What Gabriel doesn't realize is that Sparrow's concerned determination could prove to be his saving grace.
Gabriel Hearth's son is spiraling out of control, but Sparrow knows she can help...If only she can convince Gabriel to go along with her plan. The proud and private Texan isn't exactly willing, so she decides to turn the tables and use her behavior management tactics on him.
