We are fast "Liberalizing" history, attempting to erase our American Black past by sloshing it with White-wash. But, the Blackness seeps through the facade. The history of who Americans were yesterday, is being fictionalized - "corrected" - by well-meaning, intellectually limited Liberals.
Smashing statues of past statesmen and American settlers, changing historic terminology, revising historical novels and textbooks, is a short-sighted attempt to "White wash" our American past. But it won't wash - it's color fast.
In Portland, one rioter explained they were destroying statues of settlers and statesmen to eliminate the history of slavery. What these rioters don't understand, is that if they "eliminate" the history of slavery, then there's no need for reform. Because then, according to Liberal-logic, slavery never existed.
Yes, it did.
We can not change history. We can learn from it. We are Americans. We must stand together, UNITED. This is not a choice.
It's our destiny.
