Schrödinger's Cat is a thought experiment from yesteryear aimed at showing how absurd the logical conclusions from quantum physics are, but in truth, quantum physics really is as weird as it seems.

That doesn't mean a child cannot learn a little bit about it, and the fact that it's highly entertaining and quite fascinating make it seem like it was invented for the child's fertile mind. It energizes the imagination and fires up the spirit. That's what we need right now!
