"The original story by science-fiction author H.G. Wells that inspired the modern suspense film by the same name, starring Elisabeth Moss. An arrogant and reclusive scientist named Griffin has a theory: if one could adjust the refractive index of one's body to exactly that of air, one could disappear completely from sight. He conducts his experiment on himself, but his success is too great—he becomes fully invisible, but cannot reverse what has been done. His invisibility excludes him from society, pushing him first towards crime as a means of survival and then into madness. The only one standing in his way is Dr. Kemp, the first target of Griffin's reign of terror, as Kemp attempts to ensnare Griffin in a trap he cannot predict. Wells' story blends science fiction and horror in an examination of human nature and what it means to be invisible."
