"The Mystery of Copper Ore Lodge" is the Second book in a series for young boys, and girls. Where you are taken through 35 years of the life of Five teens and their friends of the Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club and Great, Great, Aunt Nellie McKelly, a former MI-5 Agent and Heiress. These stories are reminiscent of the turn of the century 1900's "Rite of Passage" stories for young teen's. In the Mystery of Copper Ore Lodge our adventures take a vacation to the Copper Ore Lodge where right off the bat, there is a mystery to be solved. In Book Two, our Adventure Club with its newest member Jake Lake, find themselves trapped in an old mine. A cat named Mr. Noodle steals Aunt Nellies Bangers. A new friend arrives, Mr. Noodles saves the day, and the new bad guys, yes more bad guys, make a mess of things. Aunt Nellie totes a gun. And Denny McKelly discovers King Authors Armory. A bomb goes off, and a Rare Ore is re-discovered. Let us not forget the puzzle written on the chalkboard that our adventures must solve before all the fun and danger begins, or there is no adventure. An orphan is found in the woods hiding out. A mob threatens to storm the Inn. Jake exorcises a Ghost and much more.
In Book Three, "The Old Girl goes Batty" our adventure Club goes to Ireland to face some harrowing escapes and near decapitation. In Book Four, "Changing of the Guard, Jake Lake becomes a Police Officer, and our Adventure Club members face decisions about their future. In our final book, "A Rite Of Passage" brings our Grand Apple Valley Adventurers into Adulthood. In a "Rite of Passage" life starts with Birth, to Puberty, to Marriage, and finally Death. With those that follow in our Footsteps, the cycle starts over and over. And that is what the "Grand Apple Valley Adventure Club" is all about.
