There's a killer at large in Soho - and he leaves a unique calling card.

A convicted murderer has recently come out of prison, to the horror of six women who were involved in his crime twenty years ago. Then, they were all strippers in a seedy nightclub.

Now, some of them have a lot to lose. Katie is a famous soap star; Olivia is married to a prominent MP. Of the six, only Susan failed to break with the old life; she has just retired from stripping to work in a sex shop. Two of the women are found dead – murdered, and each with a red g-string stuffed in her mouth. Enter D I Paul Banham, ace detective but not so hot when it comes to women. He focuses his enquiries on the surviving women, and finds that no one has a cast-iron alibi. Everyone is a suspect and everyone is a potential victim.
