The most secure prison in the galaxy is harboring a secret that begins and ends in bloodshed.

Bren Beltrami has committed some very specific crimes to end up in Askaro prison. He did this because that's where his estranged father has spent the last decade or two of his life. Bren sent himself to prison to help break his father out, hoping they can spend their remaining years together. While in prison, Bren is discovers a secret the warden has been hiding and has to play ball long enough to get his father, and himself, out in one piece.

Unfortunately, both Bren's father and the warden have other plans.
