Sparkles is an adventurous young penguin who wants to explore and play with her friends. She often swims in the chilly Arctic Ocean with Shiny, a baby penguin, and Daisy, a baby orca. Whereas Sparkles and Daisy love experiencing new things, Shiny gets nervous, but together, the three of them make a great crew!

They do all manner of things while picking up new friends along the way. They discover a dark and scary cave and make a surprising discovery. They save a squid from being trapped and play under the icebergs. With the help of other sea creatures, Sparkles even uses her imagination to take them all on an amazing journey they will never forget.
