This story is based on true events.

The story is a romantic detective story which starts in South Africa.

Madri Berg meets a flamboyant post-office clerk. Their first meeting in the post-office results in a considerable number of intrigues, which intensely entwines their lives and that of the Berg-family.

Madri inherits almost nothing after her dad's death and she plans to take revenge. Her new love, Ron, is the ideal victim to take revenge. Togetrher they carry our a plot against her mother, Evette.

For this plot the scene moves for the first phase to a luxury cruise on the Mediterranean Sea. The cruise starts at Napels in Italy. The Elizabeth cruises past the Greek islands.

On the ship there is romance and treason. The rich widow, Evette, meets an charismatic, tall and dark man. She develops red heels, like an ostrich. After two weeks hell breaks lose. The storyline moves back to South Africa, with serious dramas in the households of Evette Berg and the Berg-children. The igniter of a family-bomb splits the Berg-family into three groups.

The new love in the life of the Berg-children's mom causes Renata, the eldest daughter of Evette, to suspect irregularities in the relationship.

Renata cannot accept the shocking reality that her mother falls in love with a stranger, only six months after her dad's death. The stranger causes many consternation and hatred in Summerstrand. Evette has inherited many businesses from her ex-husband. Madri is furious that she is not experienced enough to act as CEO of Queensland shopping centre.

Renata consults a private detective to assist her in her investigation......

The story reaches its climax after phase three of revenge, right at the end, with many surprises and extreme shocks.
It is certainly a thriller, with romantic moments and excellent detective work.
