Book two in the 'Wild Edric Saga'

King Harolds brother 'Earl Tostig and his Viking army have been defeated at 'The Battle of Stamford Bridge' in the north of England.

The Jubliant English army are given no more than a few days to celebrate their victory and tend to their wounded before news reaches them that Duke William of Normandy has landed on the southern coast of the country.

The battered and much reduced English army are forced to march south, losing more wounded men who fall by the wayside before they surprise the Normans by appearing in formation on the brow of Senlac Hill, a few miles from the small townshi of Hastings.
