The author writes in this book that what we call "the second coming of Christ" is one of the most prominent teachings of the New Testament. He writes in another place that we have gone to sleep on the subject of the Second Coming. He is echoing one of the parables of Jesus. In fact the author is saying, Let's just listen to what Jesus said about His coming in His Olivet Discourse, as recorded in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. That surely seems a good place to start on this difficult subject. We are asking the question, What did Jesus say about His "coming"?
