1st Corinthians chapter 13 verse 11
It states:
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Truth is when I became a man at eighteen I didn't know what to do. Ya see all my life I was raised to believe that to be a man you have to be brave, strong, a protector, a provider, and never show weakness or emotion but most of all never cry.
As I think about that today, I remember the words of Malcolm X
"You've been had"
"You've been took!"
"You've been hoodwinked"
"Bamboozled! led astray! Run amuck!"
"We didn't land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock landed on us."
Everything I learned about being a man was a lie. So where do I go from here?
