Sixty years before our story begins federal, state and local systems were failing. Poverty, war and divisiveness threatened the future of the entire planet. In the midst of it all, the world economy fell to pieces. When the dust settled, no one had a plan, not even the most brilliant economists and academics.

Our story opens in the present, with a Grandmother and her Granddaughter, Emily, discussing "money". An item Emily is totally unfamiliar with. As Grandmother's story expands we are introduced to a little book written by Emily's Great Grandfather, Mr. Charles.
