The Book of Philippians, written by Paul to the church in Phillipi, an early center of Christianity in Greece. They were very attached to Paul, just as he was very fond of them. The concepts of love, knowledge and peace are jointly developed in the Epistle. Paul's primary purpose in writing this letter was to thank the Philippians for the gift they had sent him upon learning of his detention at Rome. Besides reporting on his own circumstances, Paul encourages the Philippians to stand firm in the face of persecution and rejoice regardless of circumstances. He also exhorts them to humility and unity and warns the Philippians against legalists and libertines. English speakers are acclaiming American voice artist Bill Foote for his caring read of God's word, making the complete King James audio Bible easy for today's listeners to understand the Word of God.
