The book is about a young girl who grew up without a father. Her mother was impregnated by a guy who later realised that she was pregnant and he disappeared. The young girl grew up to experience the hardships of life in her childhood. A few years later, she got married with the hope that life would get better, her in-laws would appreciate and accept her but that did not happen. Life became worse and unbearable. The in-laws continued to mistreat her and took advantage of her situation.
