Denny has been running the same rackets for the Di Napoli crime family in Vancouver for thirty years and as the days tick down to the beginning of a new century, he craves change. Change is thrust upon him however, when his life-long partner is assassinated and Denny has a near death experience.

As he recovers, Denny begins his new journey by using a self-help book aimed at aging entrepreneurs, and by impulsively becoming a foster father to a feisty 8 year old girl to both renew his criminal and personal life.

Life in the mob is never easy and Denny finds himself juggling his crew's new direction, hostile takeovers from external and internal threats, all the while learning to be a dad to a girl who is teaching him that it's safe to love again.
