Welcome to the first edition of English Bay Review, a literary journal that celebrates the creative writing of Vancouver, BC and beyond. Our tastes are eclectic: in this first edition, we have a brutal hangover in an alcohol storeroom and teenage runaways in a make-believe Haight-Ashbury; a sabre-tooth tiger threatening the genteel peace of Qualicum and a red mushroom left behind by a coven of witches; dogs leashed to women along the seawall and a diabolical pregnancy on the prairies.
