When Beth finds a stranger taking refuge in her barn on a snowy winter night, she dismisses the incident as an isolated if unusual encounter. But their paths cross again, and Beth and her friend Kal find themselves caught up in his plight. They learn that the stranger Ramlass is an exile from another dimension. Stalked by shadowy malevolent entities, their flight takes them from their world into his, as Ramlass seeks a way to protect his land. Their plans fall apart when they're captured and become embroiled in a confrontation with an evil force they can hardly comprehend.
