"Even the brightest things in heaven turn to dust
While the drums of our hearts are soon fatally hushed;
And the universe gives no hesitation
Over whatever is crushed;
Too early too often, too painfully too much"

- excerpt from "Necromanticism"

Even in the most mundane and tedious aspects of our daily lives we are constantly interacting with the primordial powers of the universe. This in itself is not an assertion of anything supernatural; the reality at issue here is also instrinsic to the most scrupulously scientific world views. However, an overwhelming majority of people ignore this tethering completely; like somnambulists, their perception of existence is limited to a thoughtlessly generated simulation and on those unusual occasions when that is questioned, said questioning rarely leads to any consequential changes.

What does it mean though to make the mystical primary in ones own life? Certainly the perils of madness and delusion will loom greater but so too possibilities of the profound and transformative. In this collection of poetry, the pursuit of deep understanding leads to unexpected insights.
