A young teen, Coco tries to handle her PTSD from her last stint in the water on one of the cruise lines coming back to Hawaii? Although she was stuck on the cruise and barely escaped from it, she still holds painful memories. Her boyfriend, Bodhi, tries to get her back into life, by entering her into a surfing competition. Coco relents for she hasn't gotten over the moment, but their relationship is tested when she refuses. Bodhi tries to help her but tells her to remember that being a surfer is what you wanted and show them that your the best. She finds her courage after she tries to get back into the water. Coco gets into the surfing competition and finds that crushing through the blue is worth it again.
