The more I listen to the stories behind the refugee, the more I discover that every human who has the courage to make the crossing, and literally looking into the eyes of death, has a reason to be here. It is not up to me to judge whether this reason is correct, yes or no.

All borders will disappear when we open our heart and dismantle our inner borders...

For half a year, we were in Athens, Kos and Lesvos. We went with empty hands and an open heart. We witnessed hardships, inhumanity, sorrow and joy. If necessary, we gave them a hot shower, something to eat, a phone and lots of love. I listened to their stories and started to share them. They have enriched my life enormously. Everyone, whose eyes I looked into is forever in my heart...
