Colorado Jury Instructions Criminal, a product of the Model Criminal Instructions Committee of the Colorado Supreme Court, provides an authoritative array of instructions for criminal actions. Comments following the instructions include directions for their use and their relations to other instructions. Comments also include citations to relevant Colorado statutes and Rules of Court, and to cases from the United States Supreme Court, Colorado Supreme Court, and Colorado Court of Appeals.

The Colorado Supreme Court Model Criminal Jury Instructions Committee has put together these updated instructions regarding criminal cases as necessitated by numerous amendments to the statutes of the State of Colorado since the previous edition of these instructions was published. These instructions are intended as guidelines and should be used in cases in which they are applicable and may be tested in an adversary proceeding.
