Fresh from the resolution of their first case worked together as part of New Jersey PD's Holiday Crimes Unit, Patrick Holling and Julian Ives – known to their coworkers as Holly and Ivy – find themselves grappling with an even more difficult case as they struggle to make their forced partnership work.

While the citizens they are pledged to serve are baking gingerbread and stringing forever-tangled lights on trees in preparation for family Christmases to come, the two detectives slog through dirty snow, spend time in the morgue, grapple with the mob, and attempt to outsmart the Feds.
