Simon and the Gelfin is a fantasy story for children. It's an easy read with some funny parts and not to scary to be a bedtime story.
A Gelfin is a cross between a goblin and an elf, his name is Gilton Donks. Gilton and his mother and father are exiled to an island where the mad goblin Mullatok lives. After escaping on the back of an albatross Gilton meets up with Simon, and with the help of Simon's friend Mr. Burbidge, they embark on a journey to the land of elves and goblins to try and help Giltons parents escape. Do they succeed?
Before sending it for publication, I gave it to my nine-year-old granddaughter to read. She said she loved the story especially the rhymes of Mr. Burbidge.
