Ghosts, Sam Bailey and Tori Clark, help rescue a kidnapped young girl from the clutches of a crazed woman who is brainwashing the teen victim into believing that her mother asked the mad woman to take care of her. The spirits leave for Tori's mother, a local newspaper reporter, to save the girl. Tori's mom does not believe in ghosts, and this doesn't help. The ghosts can't communicate with the her easily. And, she's still in shock over her daughters death. Tori's mom struggles to put her life back together again, as the spirits try to get through to her. In the process, the ghosts ease the way for an office romance that opens her mother's heart. As mom's trauma lifts, she starts believing in her daughter, and the ghosts that are trying to help her. A final confrontation brings everyone together in an exciting conclusion.
