Cliff Vermont's wish for his best friend, Jamaal, came true.
The Yellow team advanced to the county basketball
championship game. Just getting there was not good
enough. Jamaal wanted to win the tournament
in front of the whole county with coaches and scouts in
the stands. As game day nears, a problem arises
at home and Cliff has to decide between family and
basketball. The story takes numerous twists and turns
as both Cliff and Jamaal have to deal with bully, Bumper
Johnson, as well as Cliff's nemesis, Bette London. Cliff's
brother, Sam, and sister, Lisa, are there to cheer on
Cliff and to help him overcome the obstacles of being a
12 year-old kid.
