Sophie McNaughton hasn't just dropped the ball. She's dropped the coffin. Her mother's, to be exact, after volunteering to be pallbearer at the funeral.
As a combination whodunit and road-trip-across-Canada romp, The Froward Woman features a broker who decides to leave her old life behind due to old and festering family wounds. Along the way, she discovers things about her father's death—and her mother's life—that need a closer look. Wrongs will be righted and memories finally set to rest, in a rollicking foray across several months and provinces.
