Allen is a royal suveyor sent to map this new land for his king. He hikes up the mountain he names Bald Knob, down through a valley full of thorny brier thickets to discover beautifully clear stream filled with rainbow-colored fish. Along the way, he encounters slithering snakes, gentle deer, and a huge Grizzly bear!
