Bethany McLintock returned to her hometown of Sapphire Creek, Montana to open an alternative medicine veterinary clinic and regain her bearings. Those bearings are knocked off-kilter when bull-riding champion, Lesley "Rowdy" Walker appears in her office, needing help for his pregnant Bernese Mountain dog.

Years ago, Les left Bethany at the altar to pursue fame in the rodeo circuit. After an injury dashed his hopes of becoming a champion, he's come home to Sapphire Creek for good. Seeing Bethany again opens up old wounds and reminds him of his stupidity in letting go of the love of his life to chase a ridiculous dream.
