Anthony "Duke" Maffatore was a chauffeur for Murder Inc. Based in Brownsville, Brooklyn, the murder for hire outfit was the first of its kind to operate nationally. Maffatore and Abe "Pretty" Levine were pivotal in convicting their associates in Murder Inc. Altogether they accounted for finding the remains of thirty of those killed by the vicious syndicate. Managed by Louis Lepke Buchalter, Abe "Kid Twist" Reles was also a key player in Murder Inc.
