Minimalism is one of the many new trends in the modern era and one that we, as individuals, should begin to take to heart or, at the very least, learn its core concepts. Over the next few pages, we will be discussing consumerism, the trend of minimalism, its philosophies, various practices executed, societal impact, and key takeaways - precisely in that order.

As we discuss consumerist behavior, we will be discussing capitalism, its history, and the capitalistic scar that it has left on the frontal lobe of our human brain. More specifically, we emphasize the market capture and influence of societal structures that drive us into consuming more even beyond our needs.

The solution that we propose is the philosophy of living more with less. It is living an authentic and purposeful life despite the noise of the consumer market, following the idea of meaningful living for personal benefit. Over the years, practitioners of this philosophy have created, developed, and expounded on multiple exercises of minimalism. They have shared what works best for them through various channels as they take on this journey.

More than self-improvement, minimalism extends its reach and benefits to the community through the collective impact of individuals who transitioned into a minimalist lifestyle.

In the modern world of consumer purchase, it is time to declutter.
