This report looks closely at how colleges have transferred their tutoring programs to an online operation as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. Thirty two survey respondents, predominantly tutoring program directors from colleges and universities in North America discuss the software programs and applications that they are using to conduct their programs online, the extent of use of their online tutoring programs, and the problems that they have encountered training student tutors and their tutees in online tutoring. The study also looks at how colleges are marketing the often-new programs to students and how tutoring program staff are dividing their increased stressed work time among new technology development, assessment, marketing and outreach, tutor training and other functions. In addition, survey participants relate the college departments that have helped them the most and give advice to their peers.
