In this second installment of the "Forgotten Lore" series, the four adventurers from Crosspath have finally arrived in the northern city of Adelar, ready to join the war against the monstrous horde of the warlord Kavel Murgoth. But instead of being sent to join the Arreshian army on the front lines, Bredan, Glori, Quellan, and Kosk are sent to a distant backwater, the isolated Silverpeak Valley. Expecting to sit out the war in relative quiet, the companions find the Silverpeak full of its own dangers, including a threat that could hold the fate of the entire kingdom in the balance.
