Madison Edwards and her seven year-old daughter, Terri had been living in and out of homeless shelters for the last six years. In fact, little Terri Madison has known no other life. Madison Edwards wants to change her living situation in a desperate way. One evening Madison Edwards meets a rich party girl by the name of Kimberly Cole. The young women becomes fast friends. Moved by Madison Edwards' plight, Kimberly Cole invites Madison and Terri to move in with her. Two days after moving in, Kimberly Coles was found dead; her body floating in the East River. Fearful of returning to hellish living that the shelter provided and having all of Kimberly Cole's personal identification, Madison Edwards impersonates Kimberly Cole. And by doing so, she inadvertently entered a living hell where there is no escaping.
