Kenneth Bray fictionalizes the historic 1960's in Quebec through his birds-eye view as the youngest floor manager in the history of the trans-Canadian Department Store Chain Eatons. The tumultuous "Second French Revolution," seen from Saint Catherine Street and from the attacks inside Eatons are historically accurate, but the heart of this story are the experiences of Ricky; running the basement departments, handling the day to day of the greatest department store in Montreal, the people and places of the time, but also the personal growth he experiences and his relationships. He is going through some tough times as a young married with an infant, but he must balance a loveless marriage with a sense of obligation...and a woman that he grows to love.

But Ricky's life is also filled with the growing hatred between the Francophiles and the English; the FLQ bombings and killings and his beloved Eatons being in the center of the fight.

Add to that; mob-involvement in Eaton heists. His life is exploding all around him.

The events portrayed in EATONS- the Second French Revolution, are real and explosive. They will be remembered by most Canadians and especially by those who lived the events, as Ricky did, but they will be of great interest to a larger audience, as this story has all the elements of a great tale: a magnificent department store, a city under siege and in the background a beautiful love affair!

Ken Bray has brought all of this to light for readers.
