The burning body of Michael Viggiano was found inside the trunk of his Mark IV Lincoln in the early morning hours of August 26, 1974. Firemen quickly contacted New York City Police about the incident that occurred in Canarsie, Brooklyn. A career criminal, the previous evening Viggiano had told his wife he'd return within a few hours. He also bragged that he'd be a millionaire when she saw him again. Viggiano's name first surfaced in New York newspapers following an attempted robbery of the Bronx Zoo in September 1963.
