Through the proposed ebook, we aim to encourage scholars across disciplines to examine and debate on the effects of the "audit culture" and "calculative technologies" in academia. Universities are becoming hybrids that operate in the grey area across public and private sectors, and have to combine potentially conflicting goals, obligations, and cultural orientations connected to different institutional logics both in their external environment (state and market logics) and their internal organization (academic and managerial logics).
