The Case of The Missing Egg is a mystery book for children ages 4-8 years, English, 8.5x8.5 inches and 72 pages. This book is a light introduction to crime scene investigation (CSI). The mystery story conveys critter friendship and concern for Gobbelegook the turkey's missing egg. The book opens: "Screaming gobbles shattered the early morning clam of The Preserve at Misty Meadows!" Somebody stole my egg!? - Gobblegook, the turkey, screamed over and over again. -? Solving the mystery involves setting up the crime scene and team effort from the critters wearing whimsical, identity hats. All critters are given human-like personalities to make this book more appealing to youngsters. Scattered throughout are learning tools called "mouse tales" that describe various critter's behavior. Some pages are for children's creations which they may want to show to their future children and grandchildren. Colorful illustrations lead the reader and viewer from a mysterious beginning to a happy ending.
