Kate Carter is an ordinary eighteen-year-old. At least until she steps into art class. There, she's surrounded by pencils, paper, paint and her stoic table partner, Silent Nathan. Which is fine with her—no guys, remember? When her new art teacher starts a series on how to use art in the everyday world, Kate starts getting excited. And it's not about the electrical engineer career her dad has envisioned for her.
