Fred "Killer" Burke was a notorious hit man/killer who many believe was hired by Al Capone to carry out the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Seven men who were members of the Bugs Moran gang were lined up and killed in a North Side Chicago garage. It's been rumored that Burke was hired to protect Capone's interest in a Lyons, Illinois dog track. The business was being actively encroached on by Brooklyn gangster Frankie Yale. He'd known Capone from their New York days. My e-book looks at Burke in relation to his role in the massacre as well as his overall criminal career.
