The title of this book is translated "History of the life of the Swindler, called Don Pablos, a model for hobos and mirror of misers" is a novel by Francisco de Quevedo, written around 1604 and published in 1626 by a press in Zaragoza. Previous to that, it had circulated in manuscript form. El Buscón has been considered a profound satire on Spanish life, telling about the adventures of Don Pablos. Pablos has two aims: to learn virtue and to become a gentleman. He fails in both, but his adventures are still interesting to follow.
