Suddenly the door burst open behind Mrs. Peterson. She had the green vile up to Rose's lips trying to get her to swallow the liquid. Rose was not cooperating. Her limp body fell over Mrs. Peterson's arm as the green liquid filled her mouth. Mrs. Peterson held Rose's nose and mouth closed and yelled, "Drink it!"
Rose swallowed. The bitter liquid went down her throat and hit her stomach. It was too much. Her reflexes took over and the liquid came booming up.
Captain Westly entered the cabin with Mr. Peterson behind him. He saw the empty vile in Mrs. Peterson's hand coming away from Rose's mouth. He started to yell when Rose sent the green liquid into Mrs. Peterson's face.
Mrs. Peterson dropped the vile and reached for a towel. Through burning eyes dripping with green fluid, she yelled, "Get out of here! You've destroyed everything!"
It was more than Captain Westly could take. He rushed into the cabin and pushed Mrs. Peterson away from Rose, yelling, "What are you doing to that poor girl!"
Rose had fallen back on the bed. She hid once more inside her green hue.
Mrs. Peterson quickly picked up her black bag and moved towards the door yelling, "You're going to take responsibility here, Captain. You may have just killed her."
